What does it mean to be an 1099 Independent Contractor?
As a 1099 Independent Contractor, you are responsible for your own income taxes and liability insurance. Contact your local tax professional for more details.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of shifts that I need to pick up?

Will I know the pay rate before agreeing to a job?
Our custom platform shows you the upfront pay rate before you even apply for a job.
Do you pay for mileage or travel time?
As a 1099 private contractor, and in line with industry standards, mileage and travel time are not compensated. However, you may be able to claim them as tax‑deductible expenses. Consult with your tax professional for more information.
Do I need my own equipment?
You'll need a blood‑pressure cuff, pulse‑oximeter (SpO₂), thermomotor, and stethoscope.
